The BlackBerry makers, Research in motion has finally succeeds to bring its latest ahead series of BlackBerry Curve 8520 model with the astounding features to compete the global market.

BlackBerry Curve 8520 were made under to fulfill the users requirements with the latest features and of course by considering to provide the handset with lowest price ever in smartphone, so that people can have even in this recession time. Now have a Look of Curve 8520 and its features.

Features of BlackBerry Curve 8520

  1. Screen: Curve 8520 has a 2.64 inch TFT widescreen with lower resolution of 320×240 pixels than earlier version of curve model.
  2. Keyboard: BlackBerry Curve 8520 has a QWERTY keypad, which is always considered to the best ever, the keys may little smaller than other curve model but you can easily hit the keys with your finger and thumbs as they are slightly raised and one latest technology entries to BlackBerry is the trackpad and Curve 8520 is the first handset to have trackpad instead of its earlier trackball navigation and Curve 8520 is also thought to be the first handset which having music keys for users to play and pause tracks or go forwards or backwards at the top of keypad.
  3. Size&Weight: Curve 8520 has 109mm in height, 60mm in width, 13.9mm in depth and its weighs are measured as 106grams.
  4. Camera: The smartphone Curve 8520 discontent its customers by its camera features putting only 2.0megapixel with 5X digital zoom and lack of flash or auto focus, which is primary concern of customers. Camera can also be used in video recording with the video format MPEG4, H.263, H.264 and WMV3.
  5. Processor: Curve 8520 has a process speed of 512 MHz.
  6. Memory: Curve 8520 has 256MB of internal memory which is same as curve model 8900, moreover it has packs of 2GB card for memory addition but the rumors has been in the air that there is a micoSD slot, which is a good one to extend up to 32GB.
  7. Connectivity: BlackBerry Curve 8520 has a Wi-Fi connection and it also supports Bluetooth 2.0. Curve 8520 also supports a standard EDGE/GPRS.
  8. Battery: The life of Blackberry claims to support 1150mAH battery (4.5 hours of talktime) and 408 hours of standby mode.

However, with the all above features, BlackBerry Curve 8520 has some more special features added by the RIM which is a standard 3.5mm headphone/headset jack but if you don’t like this features provided you can put your choice of cans and there is a possibility of adding a standard headset jack. 3G, where almost all latest smartphone supports, disappointingly BlackBerry Curve 8520 does not supports this features but the facility of GPS is thought to be with Airtel network only. Curve 8520 has many pre-installed apps like Memo Pad, Calculator, Word To Go, Sheet To Go, Slideshow To Go, Voice Dialing, Voice Notes Recorder, Password keeper and saved messages and includes some more fun gaming like BrickBreaker, Texas hold’Em king 2 (Poker), Word Mole, Klondike and Sudoku.

As per the price is concern about BlackBerry, it has been always more than Rs. 20k  pricing, you can see the price of BlackBerry’s Bold which was sells at around market price of Rs. 31,990 but Curve 8520 is the first handset which comes with the price tag of Rs. 15,990 only.
